Gresley FC have appointed Mick Wood and Kev Joyce as joint managers of the Reserve team. Both Mick and Kev have had experience locally with Borrowash Victoria, Burton Albion Colts, Stapenhill and latterly Mickleover RBL.

Gresley will face the winners of either Cleethorpes Town or near neighbours Borrowash Victoria at the Moat Ground in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup to be played on Saturday 30th August.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Gresley supporter Don Betteridge who died peacefully at midday today (Wednesday) after battling a long illness. He was 77 years old.

Gresley FC can confirm that the club has signed goalkeeper Liam Roberts on loan from Walsall and is registered with the Evo-Stik NPL making him eligible to be included in the squad for tomorrow's game against Loughborough Dynamo.

Gresley FC Youth team claimed the Leicestershire Midweek Floodlit Youth League title on Wednesday in front of a good crowd.
They beat Quorn 2014 3-2 in an entertaining game at the Moat Ground.

Wednesday brought us to the end of quite a successful season during which we have made big strides along the road to what will hopefully be a championship winning season next time around.
