Goole AFC Pre-Match News
Gresley return to cup action as they take on Goole in the 2nd Round Qualifying of the FA Trophy at the Moat Ground tomorrow - 3pm.
This will be the third time the two sides have met so far this season with each having a home win. Gresley manager Wayne Thornhill will have a selection dilemma for the game as front man Luke Edwards is unavailable due to a family commitment.
However, Kieran O'Connell who only featured for the final fifteen minutes or so in the 4-2 midweek win over Loughborough Dynamo returns to the starting line-up. But who will play alongside him? Alex Steadman has been the regular partner in Edwards' recent absences but youngster Ryan King has impressed in recent games and scored on Tuesday along with his young team mate Callum Riddell who also hit the back of the net against Dynamo.
Defender Matt Roome is also unavailable tomorrow so Thornhill will have to change his back line but he does have cover for the left back in Hayden Johns and Russell Peel. Despite Peel being a little match rusty he played a full ninety minutes in midweek and scored a sublime goal.
The unfortunate John Guy is still some way off returning to the squad due to an ongoing knee injury.
