Lincoln United Pre-Match News
Gresley make the trip to Lincoln for another crucial match in the quest to cement a play-off place. Manager Wayne Thornhill is expecting a tough match with Lincoln on a run of good form having lost just two of the last eighteen games in all competitions.
However, Thornhill knows that his side too is on a good run and will be determined to return to South Derbyshire with something to show from the trip.Defender Matt Roome should have recovered from his recent dead-leg he collected against Kidsgrove but striker Luke Edwards (hamstring) is a doubt but Thornhill does have Karl Ashton as a replacement. Ashton, who recently signed from Mickleover Sports, scored his first goal for the club and is gaining his match fitness with every game.
"Matt suffered a dead leg in the first half and tried to run it off," explained Thornhill. "After 10 minutes of the second half we got a third goal against Kidsgrove and there was no point risking him and making the injury worse."
Midfielder Sam Grice could take a place on the bench as he returns from a groin injury but defender Jake Carlisle (knee) will miss the game. Also missing is young striker Ryan King who is unavailable.
