Don Betteridge
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Gresley supporter Don Betteridge who died peacefully at midday today (Wednesday) after battling a long illness. He was 77 years old.
Don was a teacher at Pingle School for 30 years teaching English, Latin and Classical Studies and was the father of former Gresley Rovers secretary Neil.Don's funeral will take place on Tuesday 30th December at Bretby Crematorium 11.15am and afterwards at the Keepers Cottage.
Gresley FC would like to send their sincere condolences to Don's family, his wife Jean and sons Neil and Mark at this sad time.
A minutes silence will be held in memory of Don at the next home game.
