While most of us are enjoying our summer break (or not) manager Wayne Thornhill and his assistants Jamie Barrett and Russ Peel have been busy sorting out his squad for the new season.

The following pre-season First Team friendlies have been arranged.

There will be a cracker of a game at the Moat Ground on 29th August as Gresley face local rivals Coalville Town in the preliminary round of the FA Cup.

Gresley face a long midweek trip to north Derbyshire in the First Round of the Integro League Cup as they've been draw away at Buxton FC.

Gresley begin the new season at the Moat Ground against league newcomers and Midland Football League champions Basford United on Saturday August 15th.

The club have been informed that sadly Kieran O'Connell will be out for between 9 and 12 months due to an injured knee he suffered in the first pre-season game.

Unfortunately, due to injuries and unavailability, Tuesday's pre-season friendly at Halesowen Town as had to be cancelled. Can you please let anyone you may know who may have made the trip and do not have access to this website. Thank you

Gresley manager Wayne Thornhill could include some new faces as the league campaign kicks off tomorrow at the Moat Ground against one of the Evo-Stik NPL Division One South fancied sides new boys Basford United - 3pm.

Gresley manager Wayne Thornhill will be hoping that his side can put away some of the chances they create starting with the visit to Butlin Road tonight (7.45pm).

Gresley manager Wayne Thornhill hopes the long journey to the East Riding of Yorkshire to face Goole AFC will see his side get off the mark in the league.

Please note that because both Gresley and Carlton are no longer in the FA Cup our midweek trip to Carlton, scheduled for Wednesday 9th September, has been moved to Saturday 12th September - 3pm.

It is with deep sadness that we have to report the death this morning (Saturday) of long standing Gresley supporter Jeff Wilkinson after a long illness. The condolences of everyone at Gresley FC go to his wife, family and friends. As soon as we know the date of Jeff's funeral we will announce it on this website.

A fans forum is to be held in the Social Club at the Moat Ground on Thursday 15th October 2015.

Gresley FC and their advisors would like to welcome interested parties to the Social Club at the Moat Ground to take part in a public consultation regarding the proposed new stadium on Friday 16th October 2015 between 2pm and 8pm.

Goalkeeper Liam Roberts has been recalled to Walsall for their game on Saturday.

It is now confirmed that striker Gary Ricketts has signed for Gresley. The former Ilkeston and Mickleover Sports front man signed last night and and his registration confirmed this morning.

Due to Gresley's FA Trophy game at Matlock Town on Saturday 31st October the league home fixture against Stafford Rangers, due to be played on that date, has now been brought forward to Tuesday 27th October - 7.45pm.

Gresley FC presented the pre-planning draft drawings of their proposed new stadium to a packed fans forum on Thursday in the Social Club.

Former Moatman Chris Gray will join new manager Scott Goodwin's management team along with Jamie Barrett and Gary Ricketts. Gray, who arrives from Quorn, made over 140 appearances for Gresley Rovers and the new club and was a firm favorite with the supporters.

The Spalding United fixture at the Moat has now been arranged for Tuesday 15th December. Kick off 7.45pm.

Gresley FC First Team manager Scott Goodwin has been relived of his duties with immediate effect.

Today's (Saturday) game at the Moat against Tividale has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Due to a waterlogged pitch, tonight's game at the Moat has been postponed.

Our secretary spoke to the Chasetown secretary last night and he informed him that they were not having a pitch inspection and the game should go ahead barring torrential rain. Should the situation change we will post on our Social Media as soon as we hear.

The recent spell of wet weather has waterlogged the Moat Ground so today's game against Kidsgrove Athletic has been postponed.

After passing an earlier pitch inspection, today's game at Basford is on.

We have just been informed that tonight's game at Stocksbridge is ON.

Due to a frozen pitch, there will be an inspection at the Moat Ground by the match referee at 11.30am ahead of our game against Rugby Town.

The Rugby Town game at the Moat Ground has been re-arranged for Tuesday 16th February - 7.45pm.

Gresley will play Pinxton at the Moat Ground in the Derbyshire Senior Cup Quarter Final on Tuesday 2nd February - 7.45pm

Due to Gresley reaching the semi-final of the Derbyshire Senior Cup our game at Newcastle Town scheduled for Tuesday 9th February has been moved to Tuesday 5th April. We will now be playing Alfreton Town on Tuesday at the Moat Ground.

Our away game at Newcastle Town has been re-arranged again by the League! It's now to be played on Saturday 19th March.

The match referee has declared the pitch as waterlogged so today's game at the Moat Ground has been postponed.

The home game against Romulus as now been arranged for Tuesday 22nd March.

Due to a waterlogged pitch, tonight's game at the Moat ground against Alfreton Town in the Derbyshire Senior Cup Semi-Final has been postponed.

The home game against Rugby Town has now been re-arranged for Tuesday 15th March - 7.45pm
