Gresley manager Wayne Thornhill could include some new faces as the league campaign kicks off tomorrow at the Moat Ground against one of the Evo-Stik NPL Division One South fancied sides new boys Basford United - 3pm.
New signings Liam Roberts, Derrick Otim and Jordan Ball and are included in the squad along with defender Jake Carlisle who was on loan last season from Ilkeston.Roberts the highly regarded young Walsall keeper returns to the Moat on an initial 3 months loan after a successful spell last season which sadly ended with him suffering a fractured collarbone in the final league game against Stafford Rangers.
Otim was released by Nottingham Forest in the summer and signed after impressing in pre-season and Ball has returned to the UK after playing in Sweden for Ånge IF.
Another new face Joe Brothwell, who also made an impression during the Monmouth pre-season game, could also feature if his loan deal with his parent club Nuneaton Town is completed in time.
