Christmas Raffle Update
Firstly, many thanks to those people who have sold or bought Xmas raffle tickets, we appreciate your support of both GFCSC & GFC.
As many of you will be aware the Xmas raffle is one of the main fund-raising events in the SC calendar and therefore we need to ensure that we maximise its potential, hence the reasoning behind offering cash prizes as the main prizes for Xmas 2015.However, our club has been decimated by the unprecedented wet weather during mid-November 2015 and right up to mid-January 2016 and this has led to an inability to target our main audience our match day supporters.
We are appreciative of the fact that we have already extended the Xmas raffle to the end of January 2016, however due to the continued bad weather during early/mid-January 2016, we have now taken the decision to wrap this into a joint Xmas 2015/Easter 2016 raffle.
We will use the same tickets due to cost impact, and if anybody who feels strongly against this and wishes to have their money refunded then I'm more than happy to do so as we want to retain a strong bond with our supporter-base & the wider community.
This has been a really difficult decision and I do hope that we can count on your continued support.
