Gresley Rovers vs Shrewsbury Town
Ten-man Gresley beaten in thriller - Burton Mail
Still searching for their first win of the season, Gresley Rovers youth team surrendered a two-goal lead, had their goalkeeper sent off and crashed to a 5-4 defeat against Shrewsbury Town at the Moat Ground.
Jon Jenkinson gave Rovers a flying start with two goals, including a penalty, in the first 20 minutes.
Neville Maxwell scored twice in the final five minutes of the first half to put the visitors back on level terms.
After the break, Jenkinson completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot only for Gavin Morgan to put the visitors level again.
Oliver Wortley was then red carded for a trip on Morgan and Maxwell duly beat stand-in keeper Chris Ashton from the penalty spot to complete his hat-trick.
In the 86th minute Jenkinson crowned a memorable night with his fourth goal of the night when he fired past visiting keeper Sam Jones from 25-yards.
However, Rovers were deprived a deserved point when Stuart Randall's corner was headed in by substitute Mark Walker.
