Castle Vale vs Gresley Rovers

John Guthrie came off the substitutes bench to score twice and steer the Youth Team to an unlikely 3-2 victory at second-placed Castle Vale.

Gresley started brightly, taking a 12th minute lead through Stuart Lynn.

However, the home side levelled on the stroke of half time and went 2-1 up in the 55th minute when they punished some indecisive defending.

But Rovers hung in there, with Brian Barker and Lynn both going close before Guthrie grabbed the first of his brace.

A goaline clearance from Leon Dolman kept the visitors on level terms and this proved to be vital as super sub Guthrie popped up to score an 89th minute winner.
