Gresley went out of the F.A. youth cup 7-2 at Nantwich.
Things started well for Gresley with Alex Bolt beating the keeper to the ball, but his shot went just over the bar. Gresley looked the better side in the first 20 mins and went in front when Chris Mawbey won the ball on the half way line and hit a great pass out to Ben Cooper who lobbed the ball over the advancing keeper.

Ten minutes before half time Nantwich levelled the game when Gresley cleared from a corner but allowed then allowed the full back to knock the ball back into the box for the Nantwich No. 10 to run on to the cross and score with a low drive.

The second half was a one sided affair with Nantwich adding a further six goals, Gresley simply could not cope with the speed and skill of the Nantwich forwards. Tom Bartram scored from the spot with the last kick of the game. Overall Nantwich were fitter and quicker to the ball and they simply wanted to win more than Gresley and consequently ran out comfortable winners.
