Mickleover Sports vs Gresley Rovers
A squad of 20 players travelled to the game, which included a number of trialists. Gresley took the lead mid way through the 1st half when a through ball set up the impressive Alex Boulton who riffled a shot from outside the box past the keeper. Gresley continued to create chances but were caught out just before half time by some neat passing from Mickleover.
In the 2nd half Gresley continued to make chances despite significant changes to the team and eventually Richard Seagraves was put clear down the left where he beat one man and cut inside and from the edge of the box curled a shot into the keepers left hand side of the goal. This was no more than the team deserved, as it was an overall good performance by Gresley.
