Gresley Rovers vs Stourbridge
Another defeat for the young Rovers but a lot more effort was on display tonight and at times they fought well and passed the ball around quite well.

If only they could put into practice what they learn from the coach on training nights they would be a different team.
Bad luck came Rovers way when goalkeeper Adam Redfern had to come off due to a hand injury he had just saved a penalty and the striker came in for the rebound and caught Redfern's hand with his boot. This meant that long term injured goalkeeper Dale Spedding was called on as replacement. Spedding had been out since fracturing his right thumb with the reserves last September and considering he had not even stood between goalposts for 4 months and had only one short training session in small goals he did not do too badly and as the game progressed so did he. All Spedding wants now is games to build himself up again.
Due to some poor defensive errors, and at one stage after a good save from the keeper 3 defenders on the Gresley line failed to clear the ball thus leading to another goal
Final score Gresley 1 – 5 Stourbridge
