Dudley Sports vs Gresley Rovers
Rovers Youth travelled to play Dudley Sports on a very wet and heavy muddy pitch.
It was obvious that we were not going to see much good passing football due to the conditions.
Dudley at times were very physical with their tackling and by good luck no-one got injured.
Rovers had one let off though in the first half. Goal keeper Redfern came running out of his area to make a challenge on a Dudley striker which missed, however, he handled the ball outside of his area.
The referee gave the free kick but luckily for the keeper and Rovers he did not receive a card or was not sent off which was surprising because it should be an instant dismissal for this offence.
Both teams battled on in the poor conditions and neither really looked like scoring.
Not the best game for the Youth and a night for the keeper to forget.
