Gresley Rovers vs Bedworth United

4 days after one of their best performances of the season at Solihull Borough, the Reserves put in what was without doubt their worst with a 6-0 defeat at home to Bedworth Utd.

The nightmare started in the 4th minute when Brad Clarke was beaten at his near post by Jamie Faulkner to open the scoring. A hopeful ball into the box was allowed to bounce twice and find an unmarked Rostron on the edge of the 6 yard box to make it 2-0.

Keeper Brad Clarke got injured during that goal and had to be replaced by Forward Ryan Yearsley. Clarke was taken to hospital with a twisted knee. Jon Smith was forced out of the game with a hamstring injury sustained in the build-up to the 3rd goal as Rostron added his 2nd from close range.

Rostron completed his hatrick on 62mins to make it 4-0 before a mistake from stand in keeper Yearsley allowed Beckett to make it 5. Rostron got his 4th and his sides 6th in the 88th minute when his mishit shot crept in a the far post.
