Banbury United vs Gresley Rovers

Banbury Utd Reserves 0 - 4 Gresley Reserves

Gresley Reserves completed the league double over Banbury with a comprehensive 4-0 win. Gresley spent long periods of the opening exchanges camped inside the Banbury half but failed to take any of the chances that were created until they took the lead when Ryan Yearsley scored after 29mins after good work by Greg Smith.

Matt Moran made it 2-0 on 57 mins after an excellent move down the left which started with James Lewesley finding Yearsley in space to cross for Moran to apply the finish at the far post. Matt Moran was pulled down in the penalty box
on 82 mins to allow Kevin Wagstaff to score from the spot. Danny Lonergan completed the scoring on 87 minutes when Dominic Geohegan's front post cross was met at the near post with a clinical finish.

More pleasing than the goals scored was the clean sheet that accompanied it. Keeper Ian Robers and the back four of Lee Withers, Dave Kemp, Paul Grosse and James Lewesley deserve a lot of credit for their defensive display.
