Rovers Reserves
ended Atherstones 100% run with a hard earned victory on Saturday. Earl
Alexander put Rovers 1 up after 33 minutes after Matt Morans through ball
was misjudged by Damion Qualey in the Atherstone goal allowing Alexander
to nip in and roll the ball into the net.
The lead
was shortlived after a misplaced header by Paul Grosse went straight to
Kev Charley on the edge of the box, the Atherstone striker making no mistake
with a low drive past Roberts. Triallist Craig Hanson beat the Atherstone
offside trap and rounded the keeper to put Rovers back in the lead on
60 mins.
Mat Moran's
mazy run down the right wing ended in the youngster finding Ravvi Sangha
unmarked in the box to make it 3-1.
The Reserve
division game at Shepshed on Saturday 15th has been postponed as Shepshed
have a re-arranged first team fixture on that day.
