Today we entertained Heather St John's which added a little bit more of a bite to the game with it being a local derby and only a few miles between both clubs.

Straight from our kick off we started well putting Heather's defence under pressure and we pretty much camped in their half for the majority of the first 45 minutes with Heather venturing into our half on rare occasions.

We played some attractive football at times and kept the ball a lot better than we have been doing in recent games, the disappointing thing from the first half was that we had the majority of the possession and the better of the chances but once again we failed to capitalise on this and the half ended 0-0.

At half time there wasn't too much to say to the lads apart from be patient keep playing how you are and the breakthrough will come.

Second half we pretty much started the same as the first half putting Heathers defence under pressure and creating a few half chances, and the breakthrough did come on 65 minutes with Chris Burnham slotting the ball home from 15 yards to keep his goal scoring run going.

After that I thought we would build on the one goal lead and crown a decent performance with a win. But Heather to be fair to them never gave up and got their just rewards and equalised 10 minutes later which made the last 15 minutes quite tense.

We pushed forward winning a couple of free kicks in good areas but again our quality in the last third wasn't good enough and we got punished for this by Heather scoring the winning goal 5 minutes from the end.

The disappointing and the most annoying thing was the manner in which we conceded, Heather won a dodgy free kick 35 yards out and we switched off and they took full advantage.

We have lost the game today by switching off when the ball goes dead which I drill into the lads week in week out when the ball goes dead we come alive, but we are a relatively young side and these things will come.

Overall a pleasing performances when we had the ball but things to work on when we haven't.
