Kitching scored another goal on the comeback trail
as the Reserves beat Bilston in a scrappy game. Kitching
rising to plant a far post header into the Bilston
net on 60 minutes. Preparations for the game were
hit as Tim Pole and Paul Grant had to travel back
to the Moat ground with less than an hour to go to
kick off and Neil Bateman failed a fitness test on
a troublesome foot injury. Dave Kearns played on the
left on his return to the club. The former fans favourite
had some good moments but looked unfit and the next
few games in the Reserves should stand him in goodstead.
