Gresley Rovers vs Rugby United

Well what can I say, I sit here writing this match report, thinking what can I say that’s positive about this game against "2nd TO BOTTOM RUGBY", who have now done the double on us this season, and in the process just about doubled their amount of wins this season.

Right then the positives, Mykey Pryce played without a shadow of a doubt his best game for the club, and capped it off with a wonder goal, well-done Mykey keep it up. Matt Shakespere another great performance you get better each week mate, you showed the type of commitment I want from the whole team.

The guys up front Brian and Nathan, a lot of good running and a lot of good link up play thank you both for your efforts.

That's it folks I have nothing more positive to say, I felt this week above all weeks I would get the passion I desire what with 5 players injured and 5 players on loan, and a cup final around the corner, I would have thought the desire to impress would be for most in the players minds, obviously not!

I have no doubt that some players ran their legs off at the weekend, but I'm afraid lads that there's more to football than that at this level, and its something no-one can coach into you, its called HEART! There was not enough of it on Saturday no matter what you tell yourself, deep down it didn’t hurt you enough to be beaten by one of the leagues lesser performers.

I suggest this week lads you take a long look at yourself, because like I’ve told you all many times I’ll take a team of players with HEART, PRIDE AND PASSION, over just ability any time, ability is just not enough!
