In the 1966-1967 season the Gresley side was first ever team to score a century of goals before the New Year. Keith scored the 100th goal on 31st December 1966 in the 89th minute of the game against Grantham St.Johns at the Moat Ground.
Keith left Gresley in June 1971 to join neighbours Newhall United but rejoined Gresley as 1st team trainer/coach in 1972.
He came out of "retirement" and was goalkeeper from December 1973 playing 61 games between the sticks keeping 29 clean sheets proving he was as good a keeper as he was a forward.
