Keith became the first ever Gresley substitute on 8th October 1966 in a match against Creswell Colliery.
He was a defender but was called into the centre forward role during 1966-1967 season and scored 1 cup and 7 league goals including a hat trick against Grantham St Johns in the 4-0 away win on 26th November 1966.
Keith is the father of defender Andy Cheetham.
