Ken, known to his friends as Bill, was transferred to Blacpool for £100 in January 1939. He had been approached by Wolves, Birmingham, Chelsea, and Aston Villa but chose Blackpool.
Ken was 6ft tall and his playing weight was 12st 10lbs.
