Denby in, Mottram out for showdown

Gresley Rovers tonight welcome skipper Richard Denby back into the fold for their Banks’s League derby clash against Rocester at the Moat Ground (7.30pm).
In contrast the Romans report the loss of goal ace Nigel Mottram with a painful leg injury.Flu ruled Denby out of Rovers’ Banks’s League Cup 2-1 triumph over Stourport Swifts on Saturday and posed a problem for Rovers bosses.
But he was today included in the 14-man squad for the Romans’ tie unlike Steve Adcock, who will be unavailable because of work commitments.
Mottram, who has scored 10 goals in the Romans past 10 games, pulled up halfway through Saturday’s defeat by Darlaston.
Rocester boss Alan Beaman said: “He had a dead leg a couple of weeks ago. He injured it again on Saturday and has been in agony since.
“We saw the physio with it and I think he has some internal bleeding behind the muscle.”
Nevertheless, Beaman warned: “My players will be fired up tonight simply because its Gresley, just has they raised their game against Northwich last week.”
