Holders Gresley Rovers will meet Matlock Town at the Moat Ground in the second-final of the Derbyshire Senior Cup.
Stapenhill, beaten finalists two seasons ago, will travel to meet the winners of Saturday’s quarter-final between Rocester and Borrowash Victoria. The draw was made last night after Matlock’s quarter-final win over fellow HFS Loans league side Buxton. Dates for the ties are to be arranged.
It gives Matlock the chance to avenge last season’s defeat in the final by Gresley, which gave the Moatmen the cup for the third consecutive season.
Rovers boss Frank Northwood said: “It didn’t really matter who we got at this stage but it’s nice to get Matlock. They’re a good side but I don’t think they will be happy to be coming here.
“It’s nice to be at home – it’ll be another good crowd and a good occasion.”
