Gresley Rovers are hoping to attract their highest crowd of the season tomorrow as they attempt to take another step towards Wembley.
Rovers take on North Easterners Billingham Town at the Moat Ground in the fourth round of the FA Vase (3pm) and manager Frank Northwood today appealed to fans to turn out in force.Northwood said: “This is the big one of the season so far and we’re hoping to see the terraces full.
“Derby County aren’t playing until Sunday and Burton Albion are playing away, so ours is the local match of the day.”
But Northwood declined to make predictions about Gresley’s chances of going all the way to Wembley.
He said: “Everybody seems to be fancying us to go all the way and I would like to think we can do it, but you have to keep your feet on the ground and take each game as it comes.”
