Boss's battle plan

Gresley Rovers boss John McGinlay has told his players they must show a lot more fight when they travel to face Blakenhall in the league tomorrow (3pm).
McGinlay was disappointed at the manner of last Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Congleton Town in the FA Umbro Trophy and wants his players to make amends against a side just one place and two points above them in the Dr Martens Western Division table.Said the Moat boss: " Tomorrow will be a test for the players after last Saturday. They will have to battle, something they did not do last week. Some players went AWOL against Congleton, but the majority will get another chance tomorrow to prove themselves."
However, McGinlay may be forced into making changes because of injury worries. Matt Warren (hamstring), Ian Bluck (foot) and Andy Cheetham (back) have not trained this week, with the latter almost certainly out.
"We are hoping Warren and Bluck will be okay but I don't think Cheetham will be right and could be too much of a risk." Said McGinlay. "Warren and Bluck are our centre backs and it is important that at least one of them makes it."
Rovers welcome back midfielder Mark Peters after suspension for a match McGinlay knows is important to win.
"When you beat teams at the top of the table it gives you a confidence boost but if you want to make up league positions you have got to take points off teams around you," he said.
