Gloucester pre-match news
Alan Titterton is looking for his side to gain a victory against Gloucester City tomorrow to raise their spirits
Titterton, who is in charge of the first team while Jon Newsome is away on business, said: "It's not going to be an easy game. Gloucester have won five and drawn one of their last six games. "The lads' heads are down and we need a good performance to lift confidence and, hopefully, we will get that tomorrow.”
21-year-old reserve team striker Mycey Price is in the squad after an impressive season so far for Gresley reserves.
Titterton said: "Micey comes into the reckoning as we have not scored many over the last four weeks and he deserves his chance. He is not a big centre forward but he is very quick and knows where the net is."
Neil Kitching should be fit after having two stitches in a head wound sustained in the 3-0 defeat at Harrogate midweek.
A change in formation looks likely for tomorrow’s match. Titter said: “We are thinking of reverting to 3 at the back but it all depends on the fitness of certain players.”
Ian Bluck is expected to return alongside Andy Cheetham and Jim Parkinson in defence.
Long-serving defender Richard Wardle is back in contention after missing the Trophy defeat due to illness.
But Gresley will be without unavailable midfielder Mark Peters and skipper Stuart Evans who has a hairline fracture of the shin and will be out for another four to six weeks.
Midfielder Craig Hopkins could start while Earl Alexander, Matt Moran and Owen James will be in contention for a place on the subs bench.
