Pay up, says Frank

Gresley boss Frank Northwood expects “£2,000 to £3,000” compensation for the loss of coach Steve Dolby.
Northwood said today: “We wish Steve all the best and we hope he stays at Eton Park for a long time. But you don’t replace people like him easily and we will be looking for compensation from Burton.”Northwood said he hoped the relationship between the two clubs would be “even better” following Dolby’s move.
“I’m sure we’ll be able to help each other even more than in the past. I’m pleased that I’ve had a part in helping with his success – something which Steve acknowledges. His job has possibly been made easier by working with quality players at Gresley.
The lads will be disappointed that he has left the club on the threshold of what promises to be another good season. But with Steve being the sort of bloke he is I’m sure he’ll come and say ‘cheerio’ to the players and wish them all the best.”
