Story courtesy of Burton Mail
Gresley Rovers must beat rivals Blakenall tomorrow if they are to prevent their fading Banks’s League title hopes from dying.
The Walsall side beat Hinckley Athletic 1-0 last night to move to within two points of leaders Gresley with four games in hand. And they will go top and confirm their label as title favourites if they beat Rovers at the Moat Ground tomorrow (7.30pm).
The positions of Gresley and Blakenall were strengthened last night by the 4-0 defeat of Paget Rangers at Hinckley Town and Halesowen Harriers’ 1-1 draw with Rocester.
Rovers are hoping the Thursday night showdown will attract one of their biggest crowds of the season.
