Rovers await ground switch verdict

Gresley Rovers are hoping to play tomorrow’s Banks’s League clash with Oldswinford at a neutral ground.
The match has been provisionally arranged for the Amos Lane ground of Wednesfield Social (3pm) because Oldswinford’s council-owned ground has been dug up because of persistent drainage problems.Gresley are happy with the arrangements, but a final decision is not expected until tonight after further consultations with league officials.
Rovers will be without defender John Bottomley who cracked two ribs in the 3-1 victory over Harrisons last Saturday.
Midfielder Andy Moore is also doubtful because of an ankle injury suffered in the same game.
Rovers’ squad also includes on-loan striker Andy Maddocks, although clearance to play him is still awaited.
