Northwood to dip into transfer market?

Gresley Rovers boss Frank Northwood is set to plunge into the transfer market in an effort to keep his side on course for the Banks’s League title.
The target is much-travelled striker Andy Maddocks, currently with Beazer Homes Midland Division Atherstone United.Northwood has already had talks with Adder’s boss Ron Bradbury and the experienced front-runner and hope to complete a loan deal next week.
The Gresley boss said last night: “I think the lad will do us a good job while Tracey Norton is out of the side injured. I’m a bit concerned about the number of points we’re dropping at the moment through drawn games and basically it’s because we’re not scoring enough goals.
“We’ve averaged three goals a game so far, but we’re starting to dip a bit. Now our fans can see that I’m trying to do something about it, but these things take time. You can afford to drop points here and there, but now’s the time for us to get down to the business of winning games against other sides in the title chase to do ourselves a favour.”
He will be hoping to start a winning streak at the Moat Ground tomorrow when Harrisons are the visitors (3pm).
