Alfreton Town pre-match news
Jon Newsome could be in a position to name a full strength side for tonight’s 2nd leg of the Derbyshire Senior Cup Final at North Street, Alfreton (7.30pm).
Both Chris Gray and Chris White have recovered from ankle knocks picked up at Cirencester.Barry Woolley is to have a fitness test before the game but according to the Moat boss, could play some part in the game.
Stuart Evans and Dave Whittaker came through last Saturday’s game with no adverse reactions to their recent injuries.
The only none starters are Mark Peters (knee) and Ian Bluck (suspended).
Jon admitted that Gresley go into the match as underdogs. “Alfreton are flying at present and they won again at the weekend. They will have their supporters behind them and will want to do well. It will be a tight game and nerves will play a part. It’s a big game for us and we need to go up there and get a result. The players are capable of doing that, if they believe in and show their ability. We need to play the whole game with the enthusiasm they showed in the second half of the first leg.”
