Manager James Jepson, who has seen two matches either side of his debut game at the helm postponed, is keen to see his new-look squad in action. Since his appointment, Jepson and assistant Marc Goodfellow have added several new faces to the team, including the recent signing of Andrei Raceala who joined up with the club this week.more...
Regarding the new addition, Jepson commented, "We've brought forward Andrei Raceala into the squad this week. He's a player who competes at a very high level in international 7-a-side football for Romania. With him becoming available and my arrival at Rovers, it was a natural move for us to work together." He added, "Andrei has played at a good level in Romania and for a couple of Step 5 clubs, so he's no stranger to this level of football."
However, Rovers faced a setback during training this week when defender Louis Anthony suffered a knee injury. The club is still awaiting news on the extent of the injury. Additionally, striker Jamie Sleigh might also be sidelined for the upcoming match. Jepson elaborated, "It's been a challenging week with Louis Anthony's knee injury picked up in training. We don't know the full extent yet, but we have to press on. Jamie Sleigh is also doubtful for the game due to a calf strain. He'll be a big miss, but we're still hoping he might recover in time, though we're running out of time."
Looking ahead to the match against Wisbech, the Moat boss commented, "I'm expecting a battle, and with us next to each other in the league table, it should be an entertaining game. We're hoping to come out on top. I urge our fans to come out in force ï¿1/2" this is a game where we all need to come together and fight for the win."
