Sleaford Pre-match News
Gresley Rovers are set to make their eagerly anticipated return to the Moat Ground this Saturday, marking the beginning of a new era under recently appointed manager James Jepson.
The match against Sleaford Town will be Jepson's first in charge of Gresley, following the postponement of last week's fixture at Hucknall Town due to inclement weather.

Jepson, a familiar face at the club with 91 appearances to his name as a player, is embracing the challenge ahead. Speaking about his return to the Moat Ground as the clubs first team manager he expressed his enthusiasm. "We have finally returned home," Jepson stated. "I'm looking forward to walking out at the Moat leading the boys alongside Marc. We've had a great week in terms of attitude and commitment from the lads, and we are eager to face the challenge ahead."

The new manager also highlighted recent changes to the squad, including the addition of a player he has previously worked with in Massiah McDonald "Obviously Mass comes in, someone I have worked with in the past. He will bring more power and quality to the team, along with all our new signings strengthening the squad." said Jepson.

In addition to McDonald, who had a very short spell with the club a few seasons back, fellow new signings Oscar McClure and Micah Tomlin are also involved in the squad as will other recent additions brought in under the interim management team of Gary Norton and Paul Tomlinson. Jack Bostock, who was man of the match in the win againt Heanor Town a fornight ago in also in the squad as is Isaac Shaw who was an unused substitute in the same game.

As the club welcomes a few new faces as part of the new era, it also inevitably bids farewell to a few players with Jepson confirming that this week Will Robinson, Jake Meakin, Jacob Sturgess and Ste Hart wlll all leave the club . The Board, management and supporters extend their best wishes to these departing players for their future endeavors.

In a show of continuity and having captained the side for the last 5 games, Jepson confirmed that Jamie Sleigh will retain the captain's armband, leading the team into this new chapter.

Supporters are encouraged to come out in force for Saturday's match, as Gresley Rovers look to start their home campaign on a positive note under Jepson's guidance.
