Harrowby Pre-match News

Carl Abbott’s men have won 3 of their last 4 league games and will be looking to return to winning ways tomorrow against a side that sit one place and two points above them in the table in 13th position.

With the news that forward Danny Munday was leaving the club Abbott has moved to strengthen his forward line options by adding Jenson Cooper to his squad from Shepshed Dynamo. Cooper had a spell with the club last season joining in February of this year and making several appearances in the latter part of the season. Cooper is registered and available for the squad this weekend.

Young striker Finn Barker provides a huge boost as he returns to full fitness having come through last Saturday’s cameo appearance following a lengthy lay off due to a fractured foot.

Alex Britton returns to the squad, alongside Kane Lee both of whom missed out vs Wisbech due to commitments away from football. Jacob Sturgess serves a single game suspension following his sending off last week.

In other news, Assistant Manager Paul Tomlinson will be a welcome return to the dugout after being cleared of misconduct charges by the FA this week. The charges stemmed from his sending-off during a pre-season match against Nuneaton Town. Tomlinson was suspended two weeks ago pending the outcome of the FA investigation, however, following this week's personal hearing, the charges were not proven, and his suspension has been lifted with immediate effect. However, Paul has received a 3-match ban starting from Mon 7th October for a further sending off received during the FA Cup match against Lichfield Town at the start of August. Paul will therefore miss matches against Sandiacre Town in the Derbyshire Cup as well as league matches against Newark Town and Kimberly Miners Welfare respectively.
