Melton Town travel to Derbyshire sitting in 9th place, having made an unbeaten start to the campaign. They have won one and drawn two of their opening league fixtures. In contrast, Rovers are still searching for their first league victory of the season, having collected just a single point from their opening three matches, which came in a draw at Kimberley Miners Welfare.

Gresley manager Carl Abbott will be hoping to bounce back from Saturday's disappointing 2-0 defeat at Lincoln United, where his side failed to capitalize on an encouraging first-half display before conceding two second half goals which left the manager frustrated and rueing a missed opportunity.

Ahead of tonight’s match Abbott revealed the news that central defender Will Robinson has joined the club from Sherwood Colliery.

The former Mickleover FC player has been registered today and will be in contention to feature against Melton Town. Rovers will also welcome back prolific striker Jamie Sleigh from holiday,who plays tonight and Saturday's FA Cup clash against Sporting Khalsa before again going away on his travels.

Rovers however will continue to be without the attacking threat of exciting young striker Fin Barker, who continues to recover from a minor foot fracture. It remains to be seen just how long the injury will keep the 20 year old former Solihull Moors player sidelined.
