Defender On Board
Rovers have agreed terms with experienced left sided central defender Jack Andrew’s to come to the club. Andrew’s was a young professional at Nottingham Forest and counts Boston United, Eastwood and Quorn among his former clubs.
Most recently Jack was with Basford United at step 3 and manager Carl Abbott feels Andrew’s will add experience and know how to his young squad.On his new defensive addition Abbott said.“I’m delighted we have been able to persuade Jack to come to the club. When myself and Paul sat down and discussed some older heads and experience to bring in to compliment our younger lads Jack was right up there on the list of potential targets and we are so pleased he’s agreed to come to the Moat Ground”
He concluded “He’s a player and a man I have a real respect for, an old school character, a leader and a really good footballer with real experience. Being left sided is a real bonus as this just helps us keep a little balance”
