Manager Carl Abbott expressed his delight at bringing the duo back into the fold. Abbott underscored the significance of re-signing these homegrown talents, noting that their permanent departure would have heralded a new era for the club that may have required a rebuild from the ground up. "These lads epitomize the heart and soul of Gresley Rovers and the local area," he stated. "They are shining examples for young local players like Dylan Hunniford, demonstrating what it takes to become a top player at this level."
Abbott said he feels optimistic about the early stages of recruitment, taking confidence in the "bounce and enthusiasm" that Lee and Lansdowne's return will hopefully bring as the club looks to recover from a challenging period last season.
