Rovers have also moved to bring in defensive line reinforcements with the signing on central defender Kane Auld from Bromsgrove Sporting on a dual registration agreement. Kane is a tall, aggressive, quick and strong centre half who is composed in possession and a huge aerial threat.
Manager Marc Strzyzewski commenting on both signings said: “In Louie, it’s great to have such a talented keeper join us in the absence of Harvey who serves his one match ban. Louie comes highly recommended, and we are grateful that Mansfield have let us take him on board”.
He added: “Central defender Kane joins from Bromsgrove Sporting and is a player that ticks all the boxes in terms of what we are looking for at the minute. He’s a talented, athletic, strong, and composed defender. We are delighted to have secured Kane as he had a number of clubs interested in him”.
Gresley Rovers would like to place on record their appreciation for the support and co-operation of Mansfield Town and Bromsgrove Sporting in ensuring both of these deals were completed ahead of this weekend’s game.
