Change Of Vice Chairman
At last week’s board meetings couple of changes were made to the structure of the clubs board of directors with Pete Robinson stepping down from his role as Vice Chairman. Pete remains on the board of Gresley Rovers FC and is replaced as Vice Chairman by Stuart Bonser.
Commenting on the changes Chairman Gary Norton told the clubs website: “Pete and I have been discussing this change for a while now given his ever increasing commitments outside of the football club. He remains owner of the Moat Ground and on the club's board of directors and also remains committed to supporting the club in realising our long awaiting move to a new stadium. Stuart is a perfect replacement for Pete as Vice Chairman especially given his wealth of experience in similar roles within other football clubs prior to joining us. When Pete announced he was stepping down from that role he was unanimously voted for by fellow board members to replace him and was delighted to accept the role.”

Norton also announced a newly formed committee will work alongside and feed into the clubs main board of directors. Explaining the new structure Norton added “In order to accelerate a lot of the things we want to achieve both on and off the pitch moving forwards we need more support to help spread the workload across the team. As such, we have decided to restructure the leadership of a club a little with the introduction of some new committee members. As well as stepping forward to take on additional club responsibilities our committee members will also be invited to attend board meetings alongside the clubs current board of directors and have a big say on how the club moves forwards. However they won’t have a formal vote on official club matters when a board vote is required”

He concluded: “We are delighted to announce that one of our current volunteers Craig Cradock will be our first addition to the new committee to which we will be looking to add more new members very soon. We wish both Stuart and Craig all the best in their new roles.”
