Rovers snap up Wells!
Delighted to announce the addition to our squad of the highly rated and vastly experienced front man Kieran Wells.
Previously with the likes of Stalybridge Celtic, Hednesford Town, Basford United and Frickley Athletic, Kieran is both proven and prolific at steps 3 and 4, and will be a great addition, and focal point of our attack in 22/23. Kieran arrives at the club on a 12-months deal.
Manager Carl Abbott had the following to say: “We have been working really hard on retaining our promotion winning squad, which we have great belief in, and now we are looking to add one or two players who bring that guarantee of performing at the level and giving what we require to transition. "We will need to be a different animal this season, relying far less on individual moments of brilliance, and far more on the hard yards, working together as a unit, and truly being the sum of the parts.
"In Kieran we have a number 9 who will work tirelessly for the team, who will work his socks off both in and out of possession, and who will support the hard work of Danny Munday, Kane Lee and James Harrison as much as they will him. He is an infectious character, a really great lad on and off the pitch, and the supporters I know will take a real shine to him. Really happy with this and I am positive for the new season!”
