Hall the way back?

Midfield player Guy Hall could be on his way back to the Moat Ground – four months after being shown the door by manager Frank Northwood.
Northwood has already had talks with Swans counterpart Mick Allsopp to pave the way for the return of the former Burton Albion player, who trained with Gresley this week. The Gresley supremo said this week: “If Guy does comeback it will be on my terms. I’ve never doubted his ability. He’s a strong player who would be a very useful addition to my squad, but his attitude has to change.”
Hall is currently suspended, so it unlikely that the move will be finalised until Northwood has again spoken to Allsopp.
In any event, he would certainly be faced with a tougher fight for a regular first-team spot than last term, when Rovers often lacked steel and commitment in midfield.
The close season capture of Neil Lovell and the more recent acquisition of the highly talented Joe Jackson has given Rovers a better balance.
And Jon Laws is also beginning to reward Northwood’s patience with more consistent form.
There are other players, too, on the fringes waiting to re-establish themselves in the first team.
Rob Philpott, a regular last season, and Ian Earley, currently injured, give Northwood the sort of strength in depth he believes necessary to sustain a challenge for the Banks’s League title.
