Gresley hero tries again

Courageous defender Ray Skeemer is ready to rebuild his Gresley Rovers career for the third time.
Skeemer missed the whole of the 1985-86 season after suffering a double leg fracture and his brave battle to regain his first-team place was wrecked last winter when a serious ankle injury forced him to miss the second half of the campaign. But last night manager Frank Northwood revealed: “Ray’s been given the all clear to start training – and that’s good news for us because he’s one of the best centre-halves around.”
Northwood however is leaving nothing to chance and has held talks with Hinckley Town defender Barry Wilcox.
Northwood said: “Barry seemed impressed with our set up and I’m hopeful that he will agree to sign for us, although Nuneaton Borough are also interested in him.”
The Gresley boss has also offered terms to Oldbury United midfielder Wayne Secker.
One new face definitely moving into the Moat Ground is former Stourbridge and Willenhall Town full back Neil Morgan.
