Gresley Rovers boss Frank Northwood has begun a team rebuilding operation in a bid to bring the Banks’s League title to the Moat Ground.
Northwood last night announced his first close-season capture, 24-year-old Eastwood Town midfielder Neil Lovell, and then promised: “There’s more on the way.”He revealed he has already had talks with highly-rated Atherstone United defender Martin Hawkins and has offered terms to two forwards.
Northwood said: “Lovell is a left sided midfield player who I have admired for sometime. He will be a good addition to our squad.
“Haskins is one of the best centre-halves in the Banks’s League. He’s not certain he wants to play in the Southern League for Atherstone and we’ve shaken on it that if he decides to leave, he’ll become a Gresley Rovers player
