New Player Signing
Manager Gavin Hurren can reveal his first signing for the upcoming 2019/20 season and what an addition it is.
Gresley FC can confirm Jordan Fitzpatrick has put pen to paper for the 2019/2020 campaign.Jordan is a very experienced midfielder with a vast wealth of games under his belt at this level and higher - his previous clubs include Hereford, Corby, Solihull Moors, Stourbridge, Hednesford Town and more recently Walsall Wood.
Fitzpatrick started out as a trainee at Wolverhampton Wanderers playing for the reserve team at The Molineux which gave him the pedigree to build his reputation at steps 2 & 3 level as a very tidy, and composed player with a eye for goal.
He was a major player in the Stourbridge side that finished second in the table, finishing just behind champions Leamington, as well as an F.A. Cup run in 2013-2014 that was ended by Stevenage
Jordan recently played a massive part of Walsall Wood’s Double- League Title and League Cup winning side in the 2016/17 season.
“This is a huge signing”, said manager Gavin Hurren. “I have known Fitz for many years now and he has always been a key player on and off the field for every club he has been at.
“He will bring so much experience and quality to the team and he is a proven player at all levels, This is a huge signing for Gresley FC and I am looking forward to working with Fitz again, as we had a lot of success at Walsall Wood and I know having him on board will also play a massive part in helping guide and support the younger players in the team.”
Welcome Jordan from everyone at Gresley FC.
