Gainsborough Pre-Match News
Gresley FC face a tough challenge tonight in the Integro League Challenge Cup when they entertain Gainsborough Trinity at the Moat Ground in the first round tonight - 7.45pm.
Trinity were relegated from the Conference North last season but have started this season well in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division losing just once in their opening 7 league games. They also notably beat Chasetown last week 8-2 in an FA cup replay.

Despite a run of three successive league defeats manager Gary Norton will stick with his plan to use the game to let loose his fringe players who have spent much of the first few weeks of the season coming on from the bench.

With that statement in mind Norton could potentially give starts to Cameron Steele, Luke Morgan, Zakim Evans and Kane Lee who have spent much of the season to date coming on from the bench. Jake McIntosh is also in contention for consideration having been in the last couple of squads due to a dual arrangement with loan club Stapenhill having a blank week. Reserve team player Harry Lansdowne who impressed Norton during pre-season is also added to the squad.

Callum Riddell is also included after making an appearance for the Reserves on Saturday on the comeback from a knee injury. Ryan King unfortunately had a reaction in his knee after playing the first half for the Reserves so won’t be included. Matt Roome continues to be sidelined through an ankle injury.

Dexter Morris Clarke came off the pitch with a knock on Saturday and so is rested as a precaution and Norton also gives a game off to Eric Graves and Kieran O’Connell.
