Tucker back at the Moat Ground
Simon Tucker
Striker Simon Tucker has returned to the Moat Ground.
Tucker, who left at the end of last season to join Leek Town, played 40 games and scored 23 goals during his time at Gresley, and made his return debut in Tuesday's goalless draw at Redditch United. He had been top scorer for Leek in the UniBond First Division prior to his return to the Moat Ground. Another player making his debut on Tuesday night was goalkeeper Saul Deeney. Deeney, an U19 Irish International, has been brought in on a month's loan from Notts County as cover for the injured James Lindley.
One player has left Gresley. Paul Fletcher has been signed by neighbours Rocester after failing to claim a regular place in Gresley's first team. He made 18 appearances, 7 of them as substitute, and scored one goal. His last game for Gresley was in the 2-1 defeat at Gloucester City on December 22nd.
Fletcher has also been put on UniBond League forms by Premier Division Vauxhall Motors.
