Cleethorpes Game Off
Disappointingly, the pitch has not recovered sufficiently from the heavy rain yesterday with the troublesome area still sodden so tonight's game has sadly been postponed.
With Cleethorpes wanting an early decision and the only suitably qualified referee only available before he goes to work we had to have the inspection at lunchtime. On a brighter note, with good weather forecast for the rest of today and tomorrow hopefully the pitch will dry out enough to get the game on on Saturday.
The groundstaff will work on the troublesome area over the next two days and tomorrow night the area will be covered as heavy rain is forecast for Saturday.
Anyone who has seen the area concerned will see what a huge problem it is and only a prolonged spell of dry weather will solve it in the short term.
