Mangotsfield pre-match news
Sean Cleary should be back in the starting line-up tomorrow after not playing in a trial game for Kidderminster Harriers arranged for last Wednesday.
It is almost certain that Kidderminster will call on him again in the next couple of weeks but Moat Ground boss is hopeful he will play at Morecambe in the FA Trophy next Saturday.

Stuart Evans should be OK after recovering from double vision during the Bilston Town game

Jake Fairbrother is improving but has not tested his damaged knee and will definitely be out for tomorrow’s match against Mangotsfield United at the Moat Ground.

Another player rated as being very doubtful is Andy Cheetham who twisted an ankle at Bilston.

McGinlay said; “ Mangotsfield are in a false position in the League as they are a good footballing side that scores lots of goals.

“The players still have to concentrate on the League games because where we finish in the League is the true measure of how the team has performed this season.

“People see the cups as the glamorous games, but tomorrow’s game is more important and I have told the players that they will be dropped from the side if I see them easing up to save themselves for the cup matches. Our form has been good of late with us only slipping up against Halesowen and Solihull but the players have to realise they cannot take their foot off the pedal.

“Some of the players have had to play out of their normal position because we are down to bare bones. And they have done really well but we are looking to bring in some new faces but it won’t happen before tomorrow’s game. We have the Dr Martens Cup match against Atherstone on Monday and Morecambe next week in the trophy and the players we have been looking at are ineligible for the trophy.”

One player who may be on his way out of the Moat Ground is Paul Fletcher. Local rivals Rocester have put in seven days for him and McGinlay has said it’s up to him if he wants to accept their offer.

Fletcher made his last appearance as a substitute in the 2-1 defeat at Gloucester City.

McGinlay said: “We’ve had a good talk to him and we want him playing again and we’ve contacted a few clubs to make that happen. He needs to be playing first team football and he is not getting into our team at the moment.”
