Goal keeper Karl Austin and 40-goal striker Brian Beresford shared the honours when Gresley Rovers handed out their awards at the club’s annual dinner at the Stanhope Arms, Bretby.
Austin was named Player’s Player of the Year and Clubman of the Year – a reward for his herculean efforts in driving from Brighton for Rovers’ games – and also collected the runners-up trophy in the Junior Supporters poll.Austin was unable to attend the ceremony, defender Steve Dolby collecting the awards on his behalf.
Beresford was named Supporter’s Player of the Year and Junior Supporters’ Player of the Year.
Trainer Keith Milner collected an award from manager Frank Northwood for his loyal service and there was a special award to mark the dedicated work of vice-chairman Denis Everitt.

Young Player of the Year – Andy Taylor.
Reserve team Sportsman of the Year – Ian Shreves.
Reserve team Player of the Year – Steve Gee.
The awards were presented by Rovers chairman David Nish and Mails Sports Editor Rex Page.
